
UT Martin Continues Unbeaten Run With Pair Of Wins To Start Home Tournament

MARTIN, Tenn. – The first two home matches on the University of Tennessee at Martin's 2026 STUNT schedule were both victories as the Skyhawks extended its undefeated start to the season with triumphs over Central Methodist (24-2) and Missouri State (30-28).
UT Martin improved to 8-0 for the first time in school history today, chalking up another Mid America West Conference win in the process with its victory over Missouri State.
The Skyhawks' first matchup of the day was a convincing victory over the Eagles. UT Martin held a 4-2 advantage after the partner stunts first quarter and took an 8-2 edge into halftime following four more points in the pyramids and tosses second quarter. The Skyhawks added four points in the jumps and tumbling third quarter before posting a commanding 12-0 advantage in the team routine fourth quarter.
UT Martin was pushed to the end in its outing against the Bears but prevailed, moving to 3-0 in the MAWC standings. The Skyhawks led 4-3 after the opening quarter (partner stunts) and boasted a 10-6 lead after the second quarter (pyramids and tosses). Both teams registered five points apiece in the third quarter (jumps and tumbling) before UT Martin doubled its score with a 15-point fourth quarter (team routine), holding off a valiant 17-point fourth quarter effort by Missouri State.
The Skyhawks close their home tournament tomorrow with a pair of games. UT Martin will host MAWC rival Northern Kentucky at 12:30 p.m. before taking on Maryville at 3:15 p.m. inside Skyhawk Fieldhouse. A Senior Day ceremony to recognize Natalie King, Emmy Melton, Raegan Taylor and Emily Wilcher will take place around 4:30 p.m.
