
Skyhawk Pursuit Of Mid America West Conference STUNT Championship Starts Tomorrow

MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin STUNT squad begins its chase for a league title tomorrow as the three-day Mid America West Conference Championship tournament begins at the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center.
Securing the No. 3 seed in this weekend's event, the Skyhawks (13-4, 5-3 MAWC) are matched up against No. 6 seed Northern Kentucky on Friday, April 10 at 6 p.m. UT Martin will then be back in action on Saturday, April 11 at either 11 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. as the 10-game tournament continues through the finals showdown at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 12.
The Skyhawks boast a 10-2 all-time record in home games but this weekend marks the first time that UT Martin will officially compete inside the Elam Center. In the three-year history of the program, the Skyhawks are 5-1 against current MAWC squads and have won five home decisions in a row against league competition.
Junior Braylee Smith has topped UT Martin in scoring 13 times in 17 opportunities during the 2026 campaign, accounting for a team-best 211 points. Addison Cary has also led the Skyhawks in scoring four times this season on the way to the second-most points (177) on the squad. Kira Butz (164 points, led team in scoring once), Makayla Elenbaas (161 points) and Emily Wood (160 points, led squad in scoring once) round out the top-five season scorers for UT Martin, who has seen 31 total players contribute at least 49 points. As a result, the Skyhawks have outscored their competition by a 427-268 margin this spring.
