UT Martin Ready To Host Mid America West Conference STUNT Championship Tournament This Weekend

MARTIN, Tenn. – For the first time in University of Tennessee at Martin STUNT program history, the Skyhawks will host a league tournament as the Mid America West Conference Championship will take place in the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center on Friday, April 10 through Sunday, April 12.
Kentucky (26-2, 6-0 MAWC) claimed the No. 1 seed in the tournament and is followed by No. 2 seed Missouri State (14-12, 7-2), No. 3 seed UT Martin (13-4, 5-3), No. 4 seed Mercyhurst (12-5, 3-2), No. 5 seed Central Arkansas (5-15, 1-7)) and No. 6 seed Northern Kentucky (2-16, 0-8).
Action begins on Friday as Mercyhurst and Central Arkansas will open the tournament at 5 p.m. The Skyhawks will follow with the final matchup of Day 1 against Northern Kentucky at 6 p.m.
Six games are on tap for Saturday, including Kentucky's debut at 10 a.m. and Missouri State's first game of the event at 11 a.m. The double-elimination tournament continues with games at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. as just three teams will remain going into the final day of the tournament.
Sunday's schedule starts at 12:30 p.m. as two teams will battle for a berth in the MAWC Championship title game. The winner-take-all championship bout is set for 3 p.m. as the winner's bracket representative will clash against the victor from the opening game of the day.
Tickets are on sale for $20 per day or a two-day pass for $35 (buyer selects either Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday). Fans aged five and under as well as UT Martin students with a valid college ID will receive free admission. To purchase tickets, click here on the link above.
