
UT Martin Improves To 6-0 After Undefeated Run Through Northern Kentucky Tournament

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The best start in University of Tennessee at Martin STUNT history was continued in a big way today as the Skyhawks reeled off two more wins to complete a four-game sweep of the Northern Kentucky tournament.
UT Martin knocked off Purdue by a 22-0 margin to kickstart the day before following with a 29-6 triumph over Mid America West Conference rival Northern Kentucky in their second game of the day. The Skyhawks are now 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the MAWC standings through their first 10 days of the 2026 campaign.
Against the Boilermakers, UT Martin delivered its second shutout in as many days. The Skyhawks led 4-0 after the first quarter (partner stunts) and tacked on four more points in the second quarter (pyramids and tosses). UT Martin then completed a 4-0 third quarter (jumps and tumbling) before dialing up 10 points in the final quarter (team routine).
Braylee Smith (14) led the Skyhawks in scoring while Addison Cary (12), Kira Butz (11), Makayla Elenbaas (11), Jennifer Jaco (10), Cayla Garner (10) and Emily Wood (10) each followed with double-digit scoring performances for UT Martin.
The Skyhawks then improved to 2-0 all-time against Northern Kentucky, defeating the Norse on their own home court. UT Martin never trailed in the matchup, once again racing out to a 4-0 advantage following the partner stunts opening quarter. The Skyhawks took a 9-1 lead at halftime before extending their advantage out to 14-2 after the jumps and tumbling third quarter. UT Martin capped off a dominant weekend with 15 more points in the team routine fourth quarter.
Braylee Smith (15 points) topped the Skyhawks in scoring for the fifth time in six opportunities this season with Butz (12), Cary (12), Mia Henry (12), RyanBeth Goodman (11), Elenbaas (11), Jaco (11), Emily Wilcher (11), Livia Comuzie (11), Wood (11), Jameson VanWormer (10), Sidnee Smith (10) and Alyssa Calamia (10) making it 13 different UT Martin players to reach double figures in the scoring column.

UT Martin will compete against the likes of Central Methodist, Missouri State, Northern Kentucky and Maryville over the course of 48 hours in its first of two home tournaments this spring.
