
UT Martin Splits First Day Of Tournament Hosted By Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The program record for University of Tennessee at Martin STUNT single-season victories was extended today as the Skyhawks tacked on another win to start the final weekend of the 2026 regular season.
UT Martin defeated South Carolina by a 21-0 margin in its first game of the day – piecing together its third shutout of the season. The Skyhawks (12-3, 4-2 Mid America West Conference) then battled but fell by a 34-10 margin against league foe Kentucky on its home floor.
Against the Gamecocks, UT Martin got off to a quick start with three points in the first quarter (partner stunts). The Skyhawks followed that with four points in the second quarter (pyramids and tosses) before adding four more points in the third quarter (jumps and tumbling). In the fourth quarter (team routine), UT Martin managed 10 points to cruise to the finish line.
Addison Cary's 11 points topped the Skyhawks while Jennifer Jaco, Braylee Smith and Emily Wood also chipped in 10 points apiece. Kira Butz, RyanBeth Goodman, Sidnee Smith, Makayla Elenbaas, Emily Wilcher, Grace Smothers, Alyssa Calamia, Mia Henry and Livia Comuzie followed closely behind with nine points each for UT Martin.
The Skyhawks then took on a Wildcats squad that improved to 24-2 overall while winning their 17th straight decision inside Historic Memorial Coliseum. UT Martin trailed 5-1 after the partner stunts opening quarter and added another point in the pyramids and tosses second quarter. Two more points were awarded to the Skyhawks during the jumps and tumbling third quarter before UT Martin dialed up six points in the team routine final quarter.
Braylee Smith led the Skyhawks with nine points while Jaco's eight points ranked as the second-best mark on the team. Alexa Stock (six points), Natalie King (five), Butz (five), Aurora Masden (five) and Kaylie Higgins (five) also guided UT Martin.
The 2026 regular season comes to an end tomorrow as the Skyhawks will clash against a pair of MAWC rivals. UT Martin will take on Central Arkansas at 8 a.m. CT before matching up against Missouri State at 10:15 a.m. CT.
