
Skyhawks Complete Regular Season With Conference Split In Bluegrass State

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Tennessee at Martin STUNT squad put the finishing touches on the 2026 regular season today, defeating Mid America West Conference foe Central Arkansas (35-18) before falling victim to a comeback from league rival Missouri State for a 27-26 setback.
The Skyhawks conclude the 2026 regular season with a 13-4 overall record and a 5-3 record in the conference standings heading into the MAWC Championship tournament, which will be hosted by UT Martin on Friday, April 10 through Sunday, April 12.
In the first game of the day, the Skyhawks led by a 6-4 margin after the partner stunts first quarter. UT Martin extended its advantage out to 14-8 following the pyramids and tosses second quarter before taking a 19-10 lead after the jumps and tumbling third quarter. The Skyhawks exploded for 16 points in the team routine fourth quarter to win by a comfortable margin.
Braylee Smith led the way with 15 points for UT Martin and was followed in double digits by Jennifer Jaco (13) and RyanBeth Goodman (11). Natalie King, Jameson VanWormer, Kira Butz, Sidnee Smith, Addison Cary, Makayla Elenbaas, Emily Wilcher, Alexa Stock, Aurora Masden, Alyssa Calamia, Mia Henry, Livia Comuzie and Emily Wood each produced nine points for the Skyhawks.
It was a back-and-forth affair throughout the second game. UT Martin trailed 5-4 after a tight first quarter (partner stunts). The Skyhawks then went ahead by a 10-8 margin at the halftime break, outscoring the Bears by a 6-3 margin in the second quarter (pyramids and tosses). UT Martin took a 15-14 advantage after the third quarter (jumps and tumbling) but Missouri State was able to edge out the Skyhawks in the fourth quarter (team routine).
