MARTIN, Tenn. – The first two home games of the 2025 season for the University of Tennessee at Martin STUNT program were a rousing success as the Skyhawks record a 16-7 victory over Central Arkansas and a 10-0 shutout win over Centenary.
UT Martin is now on a three-game winning streak going into its final two home matches of the season tomorrow.
Facing its Mid America West Conference foe Central Arkansas, the Skyhawks used a complete effort for the victory. UT Martin led by a 3-2 margin through the first quarter (partner stunts) and stretched its lead out to 6-3 at halftime thanks to a great second quarter of pyramids and tosses. Both teams came away with a point in the third quarter (jumps and tumbling) before the Skyhawks outscored the Bears by a 9-3 margin in the fourth quarter, which features a team routine.
Kaity Mistretta and Emily Hartley each shared the team lead with 14 points apiece while Emily Wood (13), Addison Cary (11), Ali Workman (10), Ashley Myles (10), CeCelia Dollison (10) and Jade Reed (10) also scored in double figures.
Back in action later that afternoon against Centenary, UT Martin jumped out to a 2-0 advantage in the partner stunts first quarter. The Skyhawks tacked on two more points in both the second quarter (pyramids and tosses) and third quarter (jumps and tumbling) to lead 6-0 heading into the final period. UT Martin was responsible for four points while the Ladies remained scoreless to give the Skyhawks a dominant shutout win.
Workman, Hartley, Myles, Cary and Dollison each secured a team-high seven points while Mistretta and Wood followed closely behind with six points apiece.
UT Martin will face a pair of MAWC rivals in its home finale tomorrow, squaring off against Missouri State at 11:15 a.m. and Northern Kentucky at 3 p.m. inside Skyhawk Fieldhouse.
