2023: Was one of the most feared sluggers in the Ohio Valley Conference, becoming only the fourth third baseman in program history to receive All-OVC second team accolades (first since former MLB Draft pick Trey Karlen in 2010)…Started in all 44 of his games played, logging 33 starts at the hot corner, five at catcher, five in right field and one at designated hitter…Ranked sixth in the OVC in batting average (.347) and seventh in slugging percentage (.613)…Hit .414 in OVC play – good enough for third in the league – and also ranked in the OVC’s top-10 in doubles (nine, third), hits (36, sixth) and slugging percentage (.713) against league pitching…Laced 14 doubles, one triple, a team-best 10 home runs, 44 RBI’s and 26 runs scored…Hit a remarkable .386 (54-for-140) from March 18 on while cranking all 10 of his homers in his final 28 games…Tallied 15 extra-base hits and 23 RBI’s in 22 OVC games…Provided one of the season’s most dramatic moments with a walkoff single in the bottom of the ninth in the backend of the April 1 doubleheader against SIUE – his seventh hit of the twinbill…Accounted for 17 multi-hit games, including a team-high four 4-hit outings (against SIUE on April 1, Austin Peay on April 12, Morehead State on April 28 and at Lindenwood on May 5)…Chipped in 12 multi-RBI performances, including five games with at least four runs driven in…Career-high of five RBI’s came as part of a four-hit, two-homer day against Austin Peay on April 12…Also went deep twice on May 19 at Illinois and homered in three consecutive games from May 6 through May 9…Scored a career-best three runs on April 4 at Austin Peay and again on May 7 at Lindenwood…Had a nine-game hitting streak from April 28 through May 13 and also hit safely in eight consecutive games from March 18 until April 2…Hit a team-high .338 (44-for-130) against right-handed pitching and hit .372 (16-of-43) against southpaws…Hit .348 (31-for-89) with runners on base and .345 (29-of-84) with the bases empty…Also topped the squad with a .396 batting average (21-for-53) with runners in scoring position and 21 two-out RBI’s…Hit .352 (19-of-54) with two outs…Committed only three errors in 33 starts at third base…Was named OVC Player of the Week on April 17 and May 8, becoming the first player in school history to win that award twice during a single season…Was named to the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
