MARTIN, Tenn. – The 2026 University of Tennessee at Martin STUNT season begins this Friday, Feb. 6 as the Skyhawks make a 315-mile trip to Springfield, Mo., officially marking the third year of the program's existence.
The Feb. 6 contests are part of a 17-game regular season, which includes eight Mid America West Conference matchups. UT Martin opens with a MAWC tilt against Central Arkansas before taking on Drury to wrap up Opening Day of the season. The Skyhawks then head to Highland Heights, Ky. on Feb. 14-15 to take on Hiram, Tiffin, Purdue and MAWC foe Northern Kentucky.
UT Martin hosts its first of two tournaments this spring on March 14-15, clashing against Central Methodist, MAWC opponent Missouri State, MAWC rival Northern Kentucky and Maryville inside Skyhawk Fieldhouse.
A two-day trek to Nashville is next on the calendar as UT Martin takes on MAWC foe Mercyhurst, Cal Baptist and East Stroudsburg on March 19-20. The regular season concludes the following week as the Skyhawks head to Lexington, Ky. for games against South Carolina plus the MAWC trio of Kentucky, Central Arkansas and Missouri State on March 27-28.
For the first time in school history, UT Martin will host the MAWC Championship tournament as that event will take place on April 10-12 inside the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center. The STUNT Division I National Championship is set for April 23-26 in Nashville, Tenn.
Head coach Amber Minton and assistant coach Mindy Halverson have established a winning culture around the Skyhawk program in an incredibly short amount of time. UT Martin has placed in the top-four of the Division I ranks in each of its first two seasons and is looking to continue that success this spring with 19 returners joining 17 talented newcomers.
Addison Cary (first team) and CeCelia Dollison (honorable mention) each claimed College STUNT Coaches Association All-American nods last season and lead an impressive crop of Skyhawk returners. Emily Wood (building specialist) and Braylee Smith (tumbling specialist) are also back for UT Martin in 2026 after being nominated for College STUNT Coaches Association specialty awards a year ago.
Cary led the Skyhawks in scoring nine times in 18 games last season while Wood (three), Dollison (two), Kacey Reedy (two), Smith (one) and Livia Comuzie (one) also took turns topping UT Martin in scoring as the Skyhawks finished with a 10-8 record and 5-2 mark against MAWC competition.
A total of 14 UT Martin newcomers are freshmen as they join a pair of sophomores and a senior in this year's recruiting class. Ten of the 17 newcomers hail from Tennessee while the Skyhawks also added student-athletes from California, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina and Texas.
