- The University of Tennessee at Martin softball team will travel to the Land of Lincoln to the Ohio Valley Conference Softball Championships at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex in Peoria, Illinois, beginning Wednesday, May 7, through Saturday, May 10. Every game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
 - UT Martin enters the tournament field as the No. 8 seed and will play a win-or-go-home matchup against No. 4 seed SIUE in the opening round on Wednesday, May 7 at 12:30 p.m. The winner will advance to play No. 4 seed Southern Indiana later that afternoon at 5:30 p.m., while the loser's season will come to a close.
 - The Skyhawks (16-30) earned the fifth seed in the OVC Softball Championship after posting an 8-17 record in league play. UT Martin propelled themselves into the tournament two weeks ago by taking their final home series of the season against sixth-seeded Tennessee State, 2-1.
 - Alli Robinson was named to the 2025 All-Ohio Valley Conference second team as an at-large selection, Tuesday. Tuesday's award marks the third postseason accolade of Robinson's career, after being named to the OVC All-Newcomer team in 2024 and to the All-Mountain East first team in 2022 while at West Virginia Wesleyan. For UT Martin, Robinson becomes the 53rd Skyhawk to earn All-OVC accolades, representing 92 total all-conference honors.
 - The Skyhawks are batting .250 as a unit on the year and are led by 2025 All-OVC selection Alli Robinson at .350. Robinson also leads her team with 38 RBIs, 41 hits and eight doubles, in addition to six home runs. Kyla Harley follows Robinson at .297 on the season and is tied with Robinson for most hits on the year with 41. Avary Makarewicz is hitting .242 for the Skyhawks and leads the team in home runs with eight and walks with 18.
 - In the circle, UT Martin has a team ERA of 4.31, while opponents hit .300 against them. Ashtyn Green has been the go-to for the Skyhawks at pitcher so far this season, as she is 9-10 with a save, a team-low ERA of 2.80, 48 strikeouts compared to just 20 walks, and an opponent's batting average of .306. Natalie Kreuziger is 4-6 in her freshman campaign with an ERA of 4.42 and a team-high 73 strikeouts.
 - One of UT Martin's strong suits this season has been its effectiveness on the base paths. The Skyhawks are averaging 1.89 stolen bases per game, which leads the OVC and is the 20th-best average in Division I. Kyla Harley leads the way for UT Matin in swiped bags at 24-for-27 and boasts the 28th-best stolen base percentage in the country and first in the OVC at .889 and the 49th-best average in stolen bases per game at 0.52, which come in second in the league.
 - Two UT Martin pitchers are currently among the nation's best in strikeouts and walks allowed. Natalie Kreuziger leads the OVC and is 98th in the nation in strikeouts per seven innings at 6.7, while Ashtyn Green leads the league and has the 17th-best average in Division I for walks per seven innings at 1.30.
 - Wednesday marks the 25th appearance in the event since the OVC Softball Championship's inception in 1994. The Skyhawks have posted a 36-44 record in the tournament while winning league championships in 2009 and 2012.
