Farmer Finalizes 2027 Roster With All-OVC Transfer Paderez

MARTIN, Tenn. – University of Tennessee at Martin head softball coach Chelsea Farmer has announced Jailynn Paderez as her final signing for the 2027 season. Paderez joins the Skyhawks after spending two seasons at former OVC rival Tennessee Tech, where she earned All-OVC accolades in 2026.
Paderez, a 5-4 junior from Whittier, California, comes to UT Martin with three years of eligibility remaining and will play in the infield and at catcher.
"Jailynn is the final piece to our puzzle," said Farmer. "She brings a consistent, proven success rate as a hitter in our conference and we are thrilled to have her bat and winning mentality on our side this season."
Paderez batted .366 last season for the Golden Eagles and led the OVC in on-base percentage at .488. She was also second in the league in walks per game, drawing 27 in 131 at-bats. She finished her sophomore season with 27 RBIs, 17 runs, five doubles, and three home runs.
Paderez joins a 2027 Skyhawk squad that includes all 13 eligible returners from UT Martin's outstanding 2026 campaign, along with a crop of 12 incoming freshmen and one transfer, for a final total of 27.
