UT MARTIN SOFTBALL HAS WEEKEND SCHEDULE AT MTSU INVITATIONAL MOVED UP ONE DAY TO THURSDAY

MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin softball team's weekend schedule has been slightly altered at the MTSU Invitational in light of an expected winter weather system moving into the Murfreesboro area in the coming days.

The Skyhawks will now play two games in the MTSU Invitational on Thursday, March 10 with the entire tournament being bumped up by one day. UT Martin will face host Middle Tennessee on Thursday at 4 p.m. before turning right around and playing Illinois State at 6 p.m.

UT Martin enters the tournament field riding a seven-game winning streak and a 12-5 overall record. The Skyhawks are hitting .338 as a team this season while featuring two players boasting batting averages over .400 – led by Kaci Fuller (.478) and Paige Clark (.403). On the pitching side, the Skyhawks have a team ERA of 3.02 while Alexis Groet (5-2, 1.49 ERA) and Erin Gallagher (4-0, 1.91 ERA) lead the way.
