Before UT Martin: Joins the Skyhawks from Lake Land Community College where she played for Nic Nelson, helping the team to qualify for back-to-back national championship tournament appearance – including a fourth place national finish in 2017…Appeared in 60 games as a sophomore, posting a .423 batting average with nine doubles, five triples, six home runs and 40 RBIs along with 20 stolen bases…Tallied 26 multi-hit outings along with 10 multi-RBI contests…Best series came against Southeastern Illinois where she went 6-for-8 with a home run and seven RBIs…Honored by the NFCA as a second-team all-american as a freshman along with a pair of all-region honors – first team as a sophomore and second team as a freshman…Named to the NJCAA Division I Region 24 All-Tournament team twice along with a pair of All-Region 24 honors...Notched a .411 batting average with 20 doubles, five triples, two home runs and 61 RBIs along with 22 stolen bases as a freshman.
High School: Prepped at Hillsboro High School where she was a JCAA all-conference performer...As a senior she posted a .402 batting average with 34 runs scored, four doubles, 14 RBIs and nine stolen bases…Tallied 11 multi-hit outings, including a 5-for-5 afternoon along with three RBIs against Fort Zumwalt South…Notched a .379 average with six doubles, one home run and 13 RBIs as a junior along with 16 stolen bases.
Personal: Born on March 10, 1999...Daughter of Trisha and James Short and Wendy Simpson...Has four siblings, James, Reagan, Nick and Micheala...Majoring in biology.
