Jordan Hudson had a multi-hit game (run scored) while Arderrius Townsend (two-run home run), Garner Anderson (double, two RBIs) and Brody Capps (double, RBI) recorded extra base hits. Jalen Fithian (run scored), JT Popick, Frank Micallef and Cameron Greene (walk, run scored) had base knocks.

Quin Long (two innings pitched, one strikeout) started the game with JP Nunn (three innings pitched, one strikeout), Mason Shropshire (3-2, one inning pitched, one strikeout), J. Henry Hobson (0.2 innings pitched, one strikeout), Austin Gast (0.1 innings pitched) and Brock Arender (two innings pitched, no hits, no runs) making appearances out of the bullpen.

Belmont (17-26) scored the game's first run then UT Martin (15-24) rattled off three runs in the bottom of the first. Capps doubled to score Fithian then Townsend hit his team-best ninth home run.

Nunn entered in the third and worked a scoreless frame from a pop out, groundout and flyout. After a lead off double, Nunn retired three straight batters on a groundout, pop out and fanned the final Bruin of the frame.

Down by two in the home half of the fifth, Anderson knotted the game up at five from a double off the batter's eye. Belmont had a run in the sixth and used a multi-run seventh frame to pull away. Arender produced two solid innings in the eighth and ninth allowing only one base runner and no hits with no runs.

The Skyhawks will head to Cookeville, Tenn. for a three-game set starting on Friday, April 25 at 6 p.m. against Tennessee Tech.
