SAINT LEO, Fla. – The University of Tennessee at Martin beach volleyball squad was close to sweeping today's action at Saint Leo but the Skyhawks settled for a split in matches against Saint Leo (won 4-1) and St. Petersburg College (lost 3-2).
UT Martin's No. 4 pair of Kayla Carrell/Addison Conley and the No. 5 duo of Haeleigh Paulino/Jessica Reynolds each went 2-0 today to pace the Skyhawks. UT Martin also earned one victory at No. 2 and another triumph at No. 3 throughout the two matches.
The Skyhawks came away with the win in the first match of the day, topping Saint Leo on its home court for the second time in three days. Carrell and Conley got things started with a 21-14, 21-16 win at No. 4 before the No. 5 pair of Paulino and Reynolds claimed a 21-18, 21-14 triumph.
