
UT MARTIN SOFTBALL TO HOST HUDDLE HOUSE CLASSIC THIS WEEKEND

The University of Tennessee at Martin softball team will continue its homestand by hosting the Huddle House Classic on Saturday, Feb. 22 and Sunday, Feb. 23. The Skyhawks will round out the field with Purdue Fort Wayne and Wright State at Bettye Giles Field.

The pitching pair of Erin Gallagher (3-2, 3.50 ERA) and Hannah Ridolfi (2-1, 1.30 ERA) will likely earn the starting nods for the Skyhawks.
Purdue Fort Wayne (1-6) is led offensively by two players hitting over .300. Madeline Swart paces the team with a .385 batting average while tallying one double, one home run and four RBIs. Morganne Denny boasts a .364 batting average while tallying two doubles, two home runs and a team-high nine RBIs. The pitching trio of Lauren McConnell (0-3, 5.14 ERA), Shaina Eyre (1-1, 5.56 ERA) and Megan Segree (0-1, 8.03) have combined to start six of the team's seven games.
Wright State (0-5) is looking to notch its first win of the season. The Raiders are led by Grace Gressly with a .364 batting average with two home runs and two RBIs. Makenna Duriex (0-1, 6.46 ERA) leads the team with two starts while Carly Turner (0-0, 9.19 ERA) and Olivia Otani (0-3, 10.50 ERA) pace the squad in innings pitched.
