Karena Recrosio Named to OVC All-Tournament Team

PEORIA, Ill. – Redshirt junior outfielder Karena Recrosio of the University of Tennessee at Martin was named to the 2026 Ohio Valley Conference All-Tournament team, following the conclusion of the championship Saturday at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex in Peoria.
Recrosio batted .333 for the tournament with one walk and was the only Skyhawk to register a hit in both of their games in Peoria.
Saturday's accolade puts a bow on a stellar first year for the transfer with UT Martin, which ended with her being named to the OVC All-Newcomer Team. Recrosio ended the year by leading the team in runs (37), finishing second in batting average (.360), hits (59) and stolen bases (18), and third in doubles (7), slugging percentage (.402), on-base percentage (.420) and OPS (.822).
The 2026 Skyhawks ended their season at 33-21 overall and 20-6 in OVC play. UT Martin's second-place finish in the OVC standings was its best finish since 2017 and its 20 league wins were the most since 2012.
