WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Mother Nature intervened late in the second round of the 2026 Ohio Valley Conference Golf Championships but not before the University of Tennessee at Martin leapt up a spot on the team leaderboard at the Ackerman-Allen Course.
The Skyhawks accounted for a 2-over par performance today until a lightning delay around 12:40 p.m. With more inclement weather forecasted for Monday afternoon, tournament officials decided to officially postpone the remainder of Round 2 until Tuesday morning. Only two teams have finished today's rounds as the other remaining nine teams have between two and four holes remaining.
Partially through second round, Bryce Harmon led UT Martin with an even-par performance through 16 holes. The freshman posted all three of his birdies on the back-nine to go along with 10 pars so far.
Drew Williams (two birdies, 11 pars through 15 holes) and Luke Caldwell (three consecutive birdies on the front-nine, eight pars through 14 holes) each shot a 1-over while Grant Phillips (two birdies, 10 pars through 15 holes) stands at 2-over. John-Gregory Wilson (+4) managed one birdie and eight pars today before the postponement ended his round after 14 holes.
Tomorrow's final round of stroke play will feature the same pairings as Round 2 as action begins at 8 a.m. The third round is set for a rolling start off Hole No. 1 with the Skyhawks playing alongside Little Rock (-13) and Southern Indiana (+14). The top four teams in stroke play will advance to the match play round on Wednesday, April 29.
