LEXINGTON, Ky. – The 11th and final regular season tournament on the University of Tennessee at Martin's 2025-26 schedule is in the books as the Skyhawks concluded an active stretch of their schedule today at the Bluegrass Collegiate Invitational.
Playing their third tournament in a nine-day span, UT Martin placed ninth in the field of 17 teams with a 903 (+51). That mark was four shots back of a fifth-place finish as all but two teams in the field shot at least 37-over par as part of a challenging University Club of Kentucky course. Overall, the Skyhawks ranked third in the event in birdies (38) and fourth in par-3 scoring (3.52, +31).
It was an active day for each of the 92 players in the field as Round 2 was resumed following a weather/darkness delay on the first day of the tournament. Luke Caldwell's 73 (+2) and four birdies paved the way for UT Martin in the middle round as the Skyhawks posted a 299 (+15). Caldwell was followed by John-Gregory Wilson (74, 15 pars), Drew Williams (75, two birdies) and Grant Phillips (77, one birdie) while Bryce Harmon (78, three birdies as part of the scoring lineup) and Jaden Morrell (73, two birdies as an individual) completed UT Martin's participation.
Harmon carded a 73 (+2) with three birdies to top the Skyhawks in Round 3 today. Wilson followed closely behind with a 74 (including two birdies) while Williams (team-high four birdies) and Phillips (two birdies) rounded out the team scoring with a 75 and 76, respectively. Caldwell registered three birdies on the way to a 77 while Morrell shot an 80.
Wilson's 225 (+12) ranked as the best 54-hole tally for the Skyhawks as the sophomore lefty out of Bolivar, Tenn. placed 28th in the player standings. Williams was next with a 226 (+13) while Caldwell and Harmon each shot identical 228's (+15). Phillips finished with a 229 (+16) while Morrell amassed a 232 (+19).
Caldwell and Harmon both tied for sixth in the field with 10 birdies apiece. Williams and Morrell each placed eighth in the tournament in par-3 scoring (3.25, +3) while Morrell also ranked 12th in the event with 34 pars. Wilson tied Morrell for the most pars (34) out of any UT Martin representative while also ranking 17th in the field with a 4.78 (-2) par-5 stroke average.
The Skyhawks will now turn their attention to the 2026 OVC Championships, which will be held on Sunday, April 26 through Wednesday, April 29. This year's tournament will take place in West Lafayette, Ind. for the first time ever as the Ackerman-Allen Course will serve as hosts.
