MACON, Ga. – The University of Tennessee at Martin beach volleyball team split the final day of its 2026 opening weekend today, falling 4-1 to Palm Beach Atlantic before bouncing back for a convincing 5-0 victory over Huntingdon College at the Bears Beach Bash.
The Skyhawk No. 2 duo of Kayla Bryant/Reagan McGee stayed undefeated on the young season, going 2-0 today to improve to 4-0 in 2026. Phillips/Rehm battled but fell in a third-set tiebreaker (21-18, 18-21, 15-9) while Arcucci/Mariscal left it all in the sand before being outlasted 33-31, 21-11. Rushing/Sulcer put up a fight but fell 21-18, 21-18 while Kryak/Traiger fell by a 21-13, 21-12 margin.
UT Martin quickly recovered for a dominant effort in the second of its back-to-back matches.
