
Skyhawks Finish 2024-25 With Nation’s 17th Best GPA

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – With a team GPA of 3.700, the University of Tennessee at Martin Softball team ranked 17th in the annual list of the nation's best classroom performances released by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Thursday. Additionally, 13 players were individually named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes.
Finishing 17th in the nation marks UT Martin's best performance on the list since 2018, when it finished 13th. The Skyhawks also finished second in the Ohio Valley Conference and second among the 11 schools that sponsor softball in the state of Tennessee, finishing only behind Eastern Illinois, in sixth, and Belmont, in 14th, respectively.
Thirteen of 19 players were named as an Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete for 2024-25 academic year. To earn the award, student-athletes must achieve a 3.5-or-better overall grade point average on a 4.0 scale for the school year. Kyrsten Brown, Joleanna Fox, Ashtyn Green, Kyla Harley, Payton Harris, Avary Makarewicz, Addie Roberts, Alli Robinson, Josie Sanders, Ava Scott, Dylan Scott, Rylee Tittle and Carly Ward all received the award for their academic accomplishments this past season.
