MARTIN, Tenn. – The 2025 University of Tennessee at Martin volleyball campaign starts exactly one month from today as the Skyhawks enter Year 11 of the Jaclynn Wilson Era this fall.
Wilson, who became UT Martin's all-time NCAA Division I wins leader last season, has booked a challenging 29-match schedule for the upcoming season. The Skyhawks will take on squads from 11 different conferences this fall and play 13 matches against teams with a .500 record or better from 2024. That includes six matchups against teams who played in the postseason a year ago. A total of 19 matches will take place in the state of Tennessee while first-time opponents Seton Hall and West Georgia at the NCAA Division I level appear on the schedule.
For the first time since 2018, UT Martin will host an exhibition as Southern Illinois visits Skyhawk Fieldhouse on Saturday, Aug. 23.
The 2025 season officially kicks off in Music City as UT Martin will play a neutral-site matchup against Seton Hall (Aug. 30) and a road match at Belmont (Aug. 31). The Skyhawks then head to Murfreesboro, Tenn. for the three-day Blue Raider Bash, colliding against Mississippi State (Sept. 5), Marist (Sept. 6) and tournament host Middle Tennessee (Sept. 7).
The tour through Tennessee keeps rolling the next weekend as UT Martin squares off against Chattanooga (Sept. 12), Lamar (Sept. 13) and Memphis (Sept. 13) in a tournament hosted by Memphis.
The Mercer Invitational is next on tap as the Skyhawks will play North Dakota and West Georgia on Sept. 19 before taking on tournament host and 2024 NIVC participant Mercer on Sept. 20.
Ohio Valley Conference play begins the following week as UT Martin travels to 2024 NIVC participant Southeast Missouri (Sept. 24) and hosts Little Rock (Sept. 30) for its only meetings of the 2025 campaign. The Little Rock matchup is the first of nine home dates inside Skyhawk Fieldhouse on the fall slate.
UT Martin lines up against each of the remaining eight OVC teams in two-match series. The month of October starts with road matchups against 2024 NIVC participant Lindenwood (Oct. 2-3) before four consecutive home matches as the Skyhawks host Western Illinois (Oct. 9-10) and SIUE (Oct. 17-18).
Four straight road contests follow as UT Martin heads to Tennessee Tech (Oct. 23-24) and Eastern Illinois (Oct. 30-31). The Skyhawks return home for four straight outings, hosting Southern Indiana (Nov. 7-8) and Tennessee State (Nov. 13-14) before rounding out the regular season at defending OVC Tournament champion and NCAA Tournament participant Morehead State (Nov. 18-19).
The league's regular season champion will host the OVC Championship tournament, which is set for Sunday, Nov. 23 through Tuesday, Nov. 25.
