Green Named OVC Pitcher of the Week For Second Time

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Junior Ashtyn Green of the University of Tennessee at Martin softball team was named the Ohio Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season, the league announced Monday afternoon. Green previously earned the honor for her performance during week one of the season.
Green tossed two complete-game shutout victories on the week for a 0.00 ERA, a 0.76 WHIP, nine strikeouts and no walks over 13.0 innings of work. In game one against Tennessee State, Green went 6.0 innings, allowing no runs on three hits with no walks and four strikeouts. In game three with the Tigers, it was more of the same from Green as she gave up no runs on seven hits with five strikeouts and no walks over 7.0 innings.
This weekend, UT Martin will close out its 2025 regular-season campaign when it travels to SIUE for a three-game series. The two teams will play a doubleheader Saturday at Noon, followed by a single game at Noon.
