Skyhawks Complete Busy Month Of March At Pearl River

POPLARVILLE, Miss. – Taking part in their third weekend in a row to kick off the 2024-25 spring schedule, the University of Tennessee at Martin rodeo program wrapped up an active stretch with a trip to Pearl River.

Caden Ussery secured all 40 points for the Skyhawk men's team in the calf roping event, placing fifth in average (25.9) and in the short go (13.7).

In goat tying, Lainey Hutchison recorded 50 points by finishing fourth in the short round (8.5) and fifth in average (16.4).

Allie Maxwell was responsible for 10 points as the junior from Milan, Tenn. placed sixth in the opening round of barrel racing with a time of 15.11 seconds.

The 57^th Annual UT Martin Spring College Rodeo is next on the schedule for the Skyhawks, as this year's event is scheduled for Thursday, April 17 through Saturday, April 19. Tickets are on sale now as performance rounds will begin at 7:30 p.m. each night at the Ned McWherter Agricultural Complex.
