
Pritchard Delivers MOP Performance In UT Martin's Fall Finale At Delaware State

DOVER, Del. – Junior Averey Pritchard became the third different University of Tennessee at Martin rider to earn MOP accolades in fences this season as the Skyhawk equestrian team concluded its fall campaign with a 12-6 setback at Delaware State.
A junior out of Collingwood, Ontario, Canada, Pritchard joined teammates Daphne Stavig and Audrey Morris as UT Martin riders who have nabbed an MOP medal in fences in 2025-26. Pritchard's season-high score of 85 points was good enough for her fourth victory and first MOP recognition of the season.
Pritchard helped the Skyhawks collect three points in fences while UT Martin additionally posted two wins in reining, one win and a tie in flat and one draw in horsemanship.
Kate Mills notched her team-best fifth victory in fences with 82 points – nine points better than her competitor. Kathleen DeGenova was also responsible for her third win of the season in this event with 75 points. Stavig (76 points) and Morris (50) completed the Skyhawk fences lineup.
In reining, Payton Bundy (70.5 points compared to zero for her head-to-head opponent) and Claire Carpenter (65.5 points) each emerged victorious for their third wins of the season. Stevie Brown tacked on a career-best 71 points while Abby Tibbits (65) and Elise Mason (63) also represented UT Martin in the event.
Mills brought home her second victory of the day as she claimed a 14-point triumph (81 to 67) in flat. DeGenova added to her unbeaten day with a 76-76 tie while Abigail Karl (career-best 76), Shelby Davis (73) and Lydia Jordan (71) filled out the Skyhawk flat scoring lineup.
Olivia Wynn secured a tie for UT Martin in horsemanship after a 72.5-point effort. Ava Jo Glenn made her Skyhawk debut today and registered a team-best 73 points. Carpenter (71.5), Ruby Gunderson (71) and Kailyn Veale (70) completed UT Martin's lineup in that event.
The Skyhawks will now turn their attention towards the spring competition, which starts with home matchups against current No. 1 Georgia (Jan. 30) and current No. 3 Auburn (Jan. 31) at the Ned McWherter Agricultural Complex.
