First Day Of Inaugural Pearl At Kalauou Invitational Suspended Due To Darkness

'AIEA, OAHU, Hawai'i – Round 2 of the Pearl At Kalauou Invitational was cut short because of darkness today as the University of Tennessee at Martin golf squad is one of 18 teams competing at the Pearl Country Club.
Only 22 of the 108 tournament participants were able to finish 36 holes before darkness crept in today. Each of the six Skyhawk golfers have at least two holes remaining in Round 2, which will resume on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. CT with Round 3 to follow approximately an hour later.
Through 18 holes, Luke Caldwell ranked 10th in the stacked field with a 71 (-1) on the challenging par-72 course that is playing at 6,955 yards. The senior out of Cookeville, Tenn. managed four birdies and an eagle in Round 1.
Drew Williams followed with a 73 that included a pair of birdies and an eagle on the scorecard. Grant Phillips and Luke Beadles each sank four birdies apiece on the way to identical 77's to complete the team scoring for UT Martin.
John-Gregory Wilson (80 with one birdie) was the Skyhawks' fifth member of the scoring lineup while Jaden Morrell (80 with two birdies) is representing UT Martin as an individual.
As a team, the Skyhawks shot a 298 (+10) as Nevada (281, -8) was the only team in the field to shoot under par through 18 holes.
Caldwell and Phillips have yet to complete Holes No. 12-13 in Round 2 while Wilson lacks two holes (No. 13-14) from finishing 36 holes. Williams (Holes No. 12-14) and Beadles (Holes No. 13-15) have three holes remaining in Round 2 while Morrell has not yet completed Holes No. 14-17.
