
UT MARTIN HEAD SOFTBALL COACH BRIAN DUNN ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT

MARTIN, Tenn. – Brian Dunn has stepped down as the University of Tennessee at Martin head softball coach and will retire, Skyhawk athletic director Kurt McGuffin announced today.
Dunn oversaw 14 All-Ohio Valley Conference performers and a pair of National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region honorees during his four-year tenure at UT Martin. The Skyhawk program produced a 96-72 record (43-33 mark in OVC play) after Dunn took over as the fifth head coach in school history prior to the 2020 season.
A 1989 San Diego State alum, Dunn has posted a 545-180-3 record in 13 seasons as a collegiate head softball coach. Including his time as a high school head softball coach, he is responsible for a 953-308-3 record over 30 seasons.
An announcement concerning the leadership of the Skyhawk program in 2024 is expected in the coming days.
