
FREEZING TEMPERATURES CANCEL GAME 1 OF SOFTBALL SERIES AT SIUE

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – With chilly weather slamming the region over the past few days, today's Ohio Valley Conference softball matchup between the University of Tennessee at Martin and SIUE has been cancelled.
The Skyhawks and Cougars were slated to open a three-game series today with a single-game matchup on Saturday followed by a doubleheader on Sunday. In accordance with OVC policy which states, "no Conference game shall be started if the outside temperature is 34 degrees Fahrenheit or below at the time of the scheduled first pitch," today's game has been cancelled with the temperature only approaching 28 degrees at scheduled first pitch.
The two teams will now play a doubleheader on Sunday, March 19 beginning at 2 p.m.
