SKYHAWK SOCCER’S HUNT WINS SECOND OVC DEFENDER OF THE WEEK AWARD

BRENTWOOD, Tenn.- University of Tennessee at Martin standout Catey Hunt was named Ohio Valley Conference Defender of the Week this afternoon for her performance against Lindenwood and Eastern Illinois.
Hunt played the full time in both contests and was a part of a defensive front that turned out back-to-back shutout wins for UT Martin. In Sunday's match against Eastern Illinois, the McDonough, Ga. native netted her third game-winning goal of the season on a penalty kick in the 86th minute.
That goal gave Hunt the conference lead in game-winning goals while also bringing her career total to seven scores. Additionally, the graduate ranks eighth in the league in goals (three) and ninth in points (seven) this fall.
The Skyhawks will be in action on Thursday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. when they travel to OVC-leading Tennessee Tech. The match will be live streamed on ESPN+.
