GREENWOOD, Ind. – Senior defender Shayla Addington, redshirt junior midfielder Allie Buchmann and graduate defender Parker Gelinas each earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District recognition, the organization announced Tuesday.
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher, have at least a 3.50 GPA and must compete in 90-percent of the institution's matches played or must start in at least 66-percent of the institution's matches.
Addington is a mechanical engineering major from Parker, Colorado, with a 3.86 GPA. She scored one goal on the season and played on a back line that gave up just 0.79 per match.
Buchmann is a cell & molecular biology major from Lakeside, California, with a 3.73 GPA. Like Addington, she played and started in all 19 matches on the season. Buchmann finished the season with one goal to her credit.
Gelinas is a business major from Germantown, Tennessee, with a 3.59 GPA. The captain of the 2025 squad, she too played and started in all 19 matches on the season. She was also a key piece in the defensive back line that limited opponents to less than one goal per match. For her efforts, Gelinas was named a 2025 All-OVC second-team selection.
All three were selected as finalists to move on to the next phase of the award process, where they will be eligible to be voted on to one of three CSC Academic All-America teams.
