2022 OVC SOFTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FIELD IS SET; SKYHAWKS EARN THIRD SEED

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The 2022 Ohio Valley Conference Softball Championship field is set. The tournament will take place at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Ala. on May 11-14.
UT Martin (32-17, 17-8 OVC) will make its 24th appearance in the event since the OVC Softball Championship's conception in 1994 and fifth as the third seed. The Skyhawks have posted a 32-39 all-time mark in the tournament.
Murray State won the OVC regular season title and the No. 1 seed while Belmont is the No. 2 seed. UT Martin earned the three seed followed by Southeast Missouri at No. 4. Austin Peay is No. 5 seed followed by Tennessee Tech, Eastern Illinois and SIUE.
The first two games of the championship are single eliminations while the rest of the bracket will be double elimination.
The entire tournament will be streamed on ESPN+
