
SKYHAWK ATHLETICS POSTS A 3.29 CUMULATIVE GRADE POINT AVERAGE IN FALL 2022 SEMESTER

MARTIN, Tenn. – The final grades from the 2022 fall term are in and the University of Tennessee at Martin athletic department accounted for another remarkable semester in the classroom, collecting a 3.29 cumulative Grade Point Average.
The 3.29 GPA is tied for the third-best academic semester in school history, trailing only the 3.31 mark set in Fall 2021 and the 3.33 average in Spring 2022.
All in all, 248 Skyhawk student-athletes earned Athletic Director's Honor Roll accolades this fall, dialing up at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Since the AD Honor Roll program began at the start of the 2019-20 academic year, a total of 1,802 student-athletes have claimed a spot on the prestigious list.
A total of 56 UT Martin student-athletes collected a perfect 4.0 GPA in the fall while 25 of those maintained an unblemished 4.0 GPA for their collegiate careers.
The Skyhawk football team boasted the most AD Honor Roll recipients with 36 while equestrian (31) and baseball (26) rounded out the top-three in that category. The UT Martin golf squad placed 100 percent of its 10 student-athletes on the AD Honor Roll while the Skyhawk equestrian team was responsible for the most student-athletes with 4.0 GPA's (nine), narrowly edging out the soccer program (eight). UT Martin women's basketball earned the highest team GPA with a 3.57 while soccer (3.49), golf (3.46), rifle (3.44) and equestrian (3.41) followed closely behind.
