WALLICK AND PAULINO COLLECT OVC BEACH VOLLEYBALL PAIR OF THE WEEK HONORS ONCE AGAIN

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – A little less than 48 hours after they completed a perfect regular season, University of Tennessee at Martin standouts Logan Wallick and Haeleigh Paulino were named the Ohio Valley Conference Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week for the second consecutive time.
The Skyhawk duo pieced together another 6-0 week to improve to 12-0 on the season (10-0 in OVC play). Wallick, a redshirt junior out of Waddell, Ariz., and Paulino, a sophomore who hails from Peoria, Ariz., went 10-0 in the No. 3 position and additionally won both matchups when competing out of the No. 4 slot during the 2021 campaign.
This week, Wallick and Paulino won 21-13, 21-9 and 21-19, 21-14 in the April 21 home double dual against Austin Peay's No. 3 team of Kelsey Mead and Tegan Seyring.
At the tournament hosted by Eastern Kentucky, the UT Martin tandem posted a 20-22, 21-10, 15-9 win over Chattanooga's Victoria Cerino/Paige Gallentine at No. 3 before a 21-9, 21-9 triumph over Eastern Kentucky's No. 3 squad Raegan Alexander/Kaylin Johnson on Saturday. They followed that with a 27-25 victory, 21-14 win in the No. 3 slot over Jacksonville State's Erin Carmichael/Lena Kindermann before pushing past Morehead State's Liz Allen and Olivia Montelisciani at No. 4 on Sunday.
Wallick and Paulino helped UT Martin clinch the No. 3 seed in the upcoming OVC Championship, which will be held on April 29-May 1 at the Skyhawk Beach Volleyball Facility. UT Martin's first match in the tournament comes at 3 p.m. on Thursday as it squares off against No. 6 seed Eastern Kentucky.
