SKYHAWK SENIOR ERICA MYERS NAMED OVC GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Senior University of Tennessee at Martin soccer standout Erica Myers has been named Ohio Valley Conference Goalkeeper of the Week for the fourth time in her career after a pair of shutouts against Eastern Illinois and Belmont on the opening week of the season.
A native of Holland, Ohio, Myers was perfect on the opening week of the season, playing in every minute while earning two shutouts. She tallied three saves and a 1.000 save percentage in the two wins. She also played a part on a defense which allowed just three shots on goal the entire weekend – including zero on Friday night against Belmont.
With her two shutouts, Myers brings her career total up to 15 where she ranks second in program history. She also ranks amongst program leaders in victories by a goalkeeper (second), minutes by a goalkeeper (second), matches played (third), saves (fifth) and goals against average (sixth).
Myers and the Skyhawks will return to action when playing host to Murray State on Tuesday, March 9. Action from Skyhawk Field is scheduled to get underway at 7 p.m.
