WEATHER CANCELS UT MARTIN SOFTBALL’S SEASON OPENING TRIP TO LADY DEMON CLASSIC

MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin softball team will have to wait one more week to open the 2021 season after travel concerns have cancelled the team's participation in the Lady Demon Classic this weekend in Natchitoches, La.
With a severe winter storm hitting much of west Tennessee and the mid-south, UT Martin has erred on the side of caution and cancelled its 570-mile drive to Natchitoches through potentially hazardous driving conditions.
UT Martin will now look to open its 2021 campaign at the Black and Gold Tournament held in Montgomery, Ala. next weekend.
