MARTIN, Tenn. – Coming off its first Ohio Valley Conference victory of the season is the University of Tennessee at Martin men's basketball team, who hosts perennial league title contender Belmont at the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center on Saturday, Jan. 11. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. as the backend of a doubleheader with the women's basketball team.
Although the Skyhawks lead the all-time series by a 20-19 margin, the Bruins have won each of the eight meetings between the two since joining the OVC in 2012.

On Thursday, the Skyhawks (5-9, 1-2 OVC) soared to an 87-74 triumph over Tennessee State behind a gritty defensive effort. After missing the previous 10 games because of an injury, Steve Wooten, Jr. collected 11 points and 10 rebounds - becoming just the eighth player in school history to earn a double-double in his OVC debut.
The Bruins (11-5, 2-1 OVC) shot a staggering 78.6 percent (22-of-28) in the second half on Thursday, as Tyler Scanlon's game-high 21 points led Belmont to an 89-64 road win at Southeast Missouri.
