
PAIGE CLARK EARNS NFCA ALL-REGION THIRD TEAM HONORS

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Tennessee at Martin sophomore outfielder Paige Clark has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Central Region's Third Team as voted on by member coaches.
Clark, a native of Lafayette, Tenn., recently was named to the All-OVC second team after posting a .383 batting average with 35 runs, 62 hits, four doubles, four triples, one home run and 24 RBIs. Along with her work at the plate, Clark ranked as one of the nation's best base stealers with 34 stolen bases in 37 opportunities to lead the OVC and rank fourth in program history. The left fielder recorded 16 multi-hit outings, including a four-hit performance against Eastern Illinois on Apr. 6. Additionally, she strung together a 15-game hitting streak and a 29-game on-base streak which ranked second in program history.
The award honors softball student-athletes from the Association's 10 regions with first, second and third-team selections. NFCA member coaches from each respective region voted on the teams, and all the honorees now become eligible for selection to the 2019 NFCA Division I All-American squads.
The 2019 NFCA Division I All-America teams will be announced at approximately 5 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, May 29, via NFCA.org.
