UT MARTIN BEACH VOLLEYBALL SEASON WRAPS UP WEDNESDAY WITH HOME DOUBLE DUAL AGAINST AUSTIN PEAY

MARTIN, Tenn. – The 2019 University of Tennessee at Martin beach volleyball season finale is set for this Wednesday, April 10 when the Skyhawks play host to in-state rival Austin Peay in a double dual. The matches will begin at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at the Skyhawk Beach Volleyball Complex.
This matchup is the second home date of the 2019 season, following a March 13 double dual against Southern Miss. UT Martin collected neutral site victories over Eckerd College (March 1) and Jacksonville (March 2) earlier this season while also adding a road win at Eckerd College on March 8.
Individually, the Skyhawks own 23 victories this spring as all 11 active student-athletes have posted at least two wins. The duo of Megan Fair and Justine Walker boast a team-high eight victories while playing at No. 2 and No. 3 while Kenzie Hinshaw and Karen Scanlon have also notched five total wins with the majority of those coming at No. 2.
Lindsey Geurin accounts for four total wins while Addison Conley and Logan Wallick are each responsible for three wins apiece. Brooke Gyori, Gintare Mackeviciute, Hannah Phillips and Jessica Reynolds have also chipped in two wins each for UT Martin.
These two squads met for a double dual just last week in Clarksville, as Austin Peay came away with 5-0 and 4-1 wins. The Skyhawks' No. 5 team of Geurin and Mackeviciute earned a 21-18, 21-7 win in the second match while pushing their first matchup of the day to three sets. The tandems of Hinshaw/Scanlon and Conley/Reynolds also took a set off the host Governors at No. 2 and No. 4, respectively.
