BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – It was announced this afternoon that the University of Tennessee at Martin teammates Logan Wallick and Kenzie Hinshaw nabbed Ohio Valley Conference weekly accolades. Wallick was crowned as the league's Offensive Player of the Week while Hinshaw brought home OVC Setter of the Week honors.
This marks the 10th time in school history that the Skyhawks have boasted two OVC weekly winners on the same date. These two join Justine Walker as UT Martin representatives who have earned OVC Player of the Week status in 2019, as Walker was named the league's Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 9.
The duo of Wallick and Hinshaw helped the Skyhawks go 2-1 last week, including an impressive weekend road sweep over OVC rivals Belmont (3-0) and Tennessee State (3-1).
A 6-0 outside hitter from Waddell, Ariz., Wallick has shouldered the offensive load lately for UT Martin, as she has led the Skyhawks in kills in seven consecutive matches dating back to Oct. 11. She becomes the seventh different UT Martin honoree to be named OVC Offensive Player of the Week.
