TWELVE SOFTBALL STUDENT-ATHLETES HONORED AS NFCA ALL-AMERICA SCHOLAR-ATHLETES

2016-17 Easton/NFCA Division I Scholar-Athletes
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Tennessee at Martin softball team continues to impress in the classroom after being recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) as 12 student-athletes were named 2016-17 Easton/NFCA Division I All-America Scholar-Athletes.
UT Martin ranked amongst the nation's elite with the team's 3.463 cumulative Grade Point Average, ranking 37th out of 149 qualified Division I programs. As a whole, the Skyhawks placed 12 student-athletes on the NFCA Scholar-Athlete team. To be eligible, honorees must have maintained a 3.5 GPA or higher.
Savannah Dodson, Jessie Douglas, Jodie Duncan, Allison Evans, Alli Fulcher, Carly Gonzales, Alicia Hansen, Renate Meckl, Lauren Myers, Rachel Williams, Gabby Zizzi and Reid Ballard were all honored.
The 2018 version Skyhawks will open the regular season at the Louisiana Monroe Classic on Friday, February 9-10.
