KACI MITCHELL CLAIMS WEEKLY OVC CO-DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin soccer team claimed the adidas Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week award as Kaci Mitchell was tabbed as Co-Defensive Player of the Week. She shared the honor with Murray State's Karsyn Hasch.
A defender from Oak Ridge, Tenn., Mitchell was a difference maker on the pitch in both contests over the weekend as she found the back of the net in the 62nd minute. She was a key piece to the Skyhawk back line as well as she, along with the defender corps, allowed no goals and a mere nine shots in the two contests. This marks the second such honor for Mitchell as she took home the award on Oct. 10, 2017.
UT Martin is set for a showdown against OVC rival Murray State on Friday, Oct. 5. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
