2025-26: Saw an increased role as the season progressed, appearing in 30 games with three starts as a true freshman…Recorded 70 points, 75 rebounds, 27 assists, 30 steals and 18 blocked shots in 13.8 minutes per contest…Scored a career-best nine points (on 3-of-4 shooting from three-point land) in 18 minutes off the bench against Ohio Valley Conference rival Tennessee Tech on Feb. 26…Enjoyed a perfect shooting night (3-for-3 from the field, 2-of-2 from the free throw line) on the way to eight points and a career-high three assists with two steals in 17 minutes at Western Illinois on Jan. 31…Hauled in at least five rebounds on six separate occasions, including a career-best and team-high eight boards in just 17 minutes at Little Rock on Feb. 19…Equaled a career-high with three assists to go along with four points and seven rebounds in 21 minutes against Southern Indiana on Feb. 5…Boasted eight multi-steal performances, including a whopping five swipes in a career-high 22 minutes against Lindenwood on Jan. 17, marking the first time that a Skyhawk true freshman had at least five steals against a NCAA Division I opponent since at least the 2001-02 campaign…Also managed four multi-block outings, including a career-high three rejections in only 16 minutes against Tennessee State on Feb. 28…Was named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for both the fall and spring semesters.
BEFORE UTM: Attended Golden State Prep, based in Napa, Calif….Played for the GSP Black squad in 2024-25…Was named GSP Black Player of the Week on Nov. 5 after averaging 10.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 4.3 steals and 2.0 blocks per game while helping the team go 3-0…Had a monster all-around game against Moc Valley Prep on Nov. 4, 2024, collecting 12 points, 10 rebounds, seven steals, four blocks and two assists…Hauled in 12 rebounds in a victory over LA Premier Black on Feb. 25, 2025…Also played at Prolific Prep under head coach Ryan Bernardi from 2022-24.
PERSONAL: Born on Nov. 23, 2005...Son of Victor Khryapa and Ekaterina Veretoshenko...Has two siblings, Maria and Svetlana...Father Victor was a NBA Draft first round selection (22nd overall pick) by the New Jersey Nets in 2004, playing for the Portland Trail Blazers and Chicago Bulls from 2004-07 before a decorated EuroLeague career which included a pair of championships and three all-league selections in the span of five seasons...Uncle Nikolai was also a professional basketball player...Major is undecided.
