Ohio Valley Conference Releases 2026-27 Basketball Slates

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin women's and men's basketball squads will play 16 Ohio Valley Conference games in 2026-27 as the league unveiled its upcoming schedule today.
The Skyhawks will play a home-and-home series against the other eight OVC teams as this year's league slate runs from Dec. 11 through Feb. 27. With the exception of the league opener (Wednesday, Dec. 30), UT Martin will play its usual Thursday/Saturday format with byes set for Thursday, Jan. 21 and Saturday, Feb. 27.
The first OVC game on the Skyhawks' slate is against Morehead State on Dec. 30 inside the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center. UT Martin then heads to Lindenwood on Jan. 2 before back-to-back home contests against Southeast Missouri (Jan. 7) and Southern Indiana (Jan. 9).
A three-game road swing follows as the Skyhawks travel to SIUE (Jan. 14), Western Illinois (Jan. 16) and Eastern Illinois (Jan. 23). The month of January closes with a split week as UT Martin hosts SIUE on Jan. 28 before a road matchup at Tennessee State on Jan. 30.
The Skyhawks play host to Western Illinois (Feb. 4) and Lindenwood (Feb. 6) before another home/away split week which features a Feb. 11 road outing at Southeast Missouri and a Feb. 13 tilt against Eastern Illinois at the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center.
Road matchups against Southern Indiana (Feb. 18) and Morehead State (Feb. 20) are next on the schedule before UT Martin's regular season finale against Tennessee State (Feb. 25) at home.
For the 10th consecutive year, the OVC Basketball Championship tournament will be held at the Ford Center in Evansville, Ind. This year's event is set for Wednesday, March 3 through Saturday, March 6 as the winners of both the women's and men's brackets will advance to the NCAA Tournament.
