Skyhawk Men’s Basketball To Take Part In Paradise Jam In November

EDMONDS, Wash. – It was announced today that the University of Tennessee at Martin men's basketball program is one of eight schools who will compete in the 27th Annual Paradise Jam, which will take place on Nov. 20-23, 2026 in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands.
The Skyhawks will join East Carolina (American Conference), Indiana State (Missouri Valley Conference), Middle Tennessee (Conference USA), Southern Illinois (Missouri Valley Conference), Stephen F. Austin (Southland Conference), Temple (American Conference) and Utah Valley (Big West Conference) in the 2026 event, which is played at the University of the Virgin Islands.
The 2026 Paradise Jam begins on Friday, Nov. 20 as UT Martin will take on Southern Illinois at 4:30 p.m. CT. The Skyhawks will then take on either East Carolina or Utah Valley on Saturday, Nov. 21 or Sunday, Nov. 22 before completing the tournament on Monday, Nov. 23.
UT Martin will look to become the second Ohio Valley Conference representative to win the Paradise Jam, which has served as one of the nation's premiere and longest-running college basketball tournaments since its inaugural season in 2000. This marks the fifth time that an OVC squad will compete in the Paradise Jam, joining 2020 tournament winner Belmont, Eastern Kentucky (2018 and 2005) and Austin Peay (2004).
The Skyhawks are one of three teams in this year's Paradise Jam field who won at least 20 games a year ago, joining defending Southland regular season champion Stephen F. Austin (28-6) and Western Athletic Conference regular season champion Utah Valley (25-9). UT Martin equaled a school record with 22 victories in Year Two of the Jeremy Shulman Era in 2025-26.
