Rawlins Cleveland is in his first season as a volunteer assistant for the UT Martin baseball program in 2022.
An Auburn, Ala. native, Cleveland played baseball for two seasons (2018-19) at Tallahassee Community College under head coach Mike McLeod. During his two years as an Eagle, Cleveland helped the program to 65 combined victories, including a 37-win campaign in 2018. The switch-hitting catcher was a team captain who saw playing time in 30 career games, helping the TCC pitching staff post a combined 4.27 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP with 903 strikeouts over 850.1 innings of work (9.56 whiffs per nine innings) during his tenure.
Cleveland began his days as a collegiate student-athlete at Auburn, where he was a fullback on the 2017 football squad under head coach Gus Malzahn. That followed a two-sport standout career at Auburn High School, where he played under legendary head coach Matt Cimo in baseball and head coach Adam Winegarden in football.
Cleveland returned to Auburn to finish his undergraduate degree after completing his eligibility at TCC, earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2021.
