
UT Martin Sweeps Day 1 Of UCA Spring Break Invitational

CONWAY, Ark. – The first day of the UCA Spring Break Invitational was a successful one for the University of Tennessee at Martin beach volleyball squad as the Skyhawks soared to 4-1 victories over Texas A&M-Kingsville and tournament host Central Arkansas.
Three UT Martin pairs went unbeaten on the day as the No. 1 tandem of Riley Rushing/Dylan Sulcer, No. 3 duo of Luli Arcucci/Lauren Mariscal and No. 5 team of Kristin Phillips/MC Rehm each went 2-0. The Skyhawks' No. 2 pair of Kayla Bryant/Reagan McGee came out on top against Central Arkansas while the No. 4 representatives of Andie Kryak/Amara Traiger notched a win in the morning matchup against Texas A&M-Kingsville.
The day began with UT Martin's second win over Texas A&M-Kingsville in as many years. Rushing/Sulcer (18-21, 21-18, 17-15) and Phillips/Rehm (21-19, 22-24, 15-11) each scored three-set victories while Arcucci/Mariscal (21-13, 21-19) and Kryak/Traiger (21-17, 21-15) also emerged victorious for the fourth time in 2026. Bryant/McGee fought until the end but fell by a 21-16, 21-18 margin.
The Skyhawks followed with their second consecutive triumph in the Central Arkansas series. Rushing/Sulcer posted a 21-19, 22-20 triumph to improve to 6-1 on the season while Bryant/McGee won 21-16, 21-18 for their fifth victory this spring. Arcucci/Mariscal (21-16, 23-21) and Phillips/Rehm (21-16, 21-15) additionally claimed their fifth wins of the season. Kryak/Traiger nearly made it a UT Martin sweep but narrowly fell 14-21, 21-19, 15-10.
The Skyhawks put the finishing touches on the tournament tomorrow when they play Texas A&M-Kingsville at 8 a.m. and Mary Hardin-Baylor at 12 p.m.
