MARTIN, Tenn. – Sophomore Drew Williams shot a bogey-free 67 to top the University of Tennessee at Martin today in Round 3 of the Peoples Golf Championship held at Sea Palms Resort.

Williams' strong effort was part of the Skyhawks' best round of the three-day event as UT Martin posted a 283 (-1) today. Overall, the Skyhawks finished one stroke outside of the top-five of the 21-team standings, placing seventh with an 853 (+1).

Hailing from Greensboro, Ga., Williams' third-round scorecard included four birdies and 14 pars. That tally rounded out a 209 (-4) for the tournament, which ranked ninth in the field of 123 golfers. It marked the fourth top-10 finish in seven opportunities this season for Williams, who finished the tournament ranking 10^th in the field in par-5 scoring (4.58, -5).

Jaden Morrell generated a team-best five birdies in Round 3, ending his day with an even-par 71. Luke Caldwell (72, +1) and John-Gregory Wilson (73, +2) jotted down four birdies apiece on the way to the last two countable scores for UT Martin. Grant Phillips (74, three birdies) put the finishing touches on the Skyhawk lineup today.

Overall, Morrell placed 25^th with a 214 (+1) while finishing 10^th in par-5 scoring (4.58, -5) and 12^th in par-3 scoring (3.07, +1). Caldwell ranked seventh in the field in par-4 scoring (3.93, -2) on the way to a 216 (+3) while Wilson shot a combined 218 (+5) after ranking 14^th in the entire tournament with 12 birdies. Phillips ranked in the top-12 of the event in pars (37, seventh) and par-3 scoring (3.07, +1), finishing with a cumulative score of 221 (+8).

Ian Lambert represented UT Martin in the tournament as an individual, shooting a 238 (+25) after a 77 with four birdies today.

As a team, the Skyhawks ranked second in the event in pars (168), third in par-4 scoring (4.08, +11) and fifth in par-5 scoring (4.77, -14).

UT Martin wraps up the month of March at the Austin Peay Intercollegiate, traveling to GreyStone Golf Club in Dickson, Tenn. for the tournament on March 23-24.
