Four UT Martin Representatives Earn Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars Honor

NORMAN, Okla. – The Golf Coaches Association of America announced its 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars today and the University of Tennessee at Martin program accounted for four recipients in Luke Caldwell, Grant Phillips, Drew Williams and John-Gregory Wilson.
The Skyhawks were one of just 81 NCAA Division I institutions to place at least four honorees on this year's list, which includes 649 names from 210 NCAA Division I schools. UT Martin is tied for the most Ohio Valley Conference honorees and is also tied for the most 2025-26 award-winners out of the 12 NCAA Division I institutions located in Tennessee.
To be eligible for the Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar award, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I. In addition, they must participate in 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative career Grade Point Average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
Caldwell becomes just the second golfer in Skyhawk history to win this award at least three times, joining four-time winner Jacob Uehlein. This marks the first award in the career of Phillips, Williams and Wilson as UT Martin has now had 18 different student-athletes combine for 30 all-time Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars awards.
Playing his final collegiate season last year, Caldwell ranked third in the OVC in scoring average (71.7) while starting in all 12 events. The All-OVC first teamer out of Cookeville, Tenn. graduated with a 3.53 GPA while majoring in health and human performance.
Phillips ranked eighth in the OVC with a 72.5 scoring average spanning all 12 Skyhawk events, leading to All-OVC second team accolades. The Marietta, Ga. native sports a 3.71 GPA as a finance major through his junior season.
Hailing from Greensboro, Ga., Williams secured All-OVC second team status with a 72.3 scoring average (sixth-best mark in the league) in all 12 UT Martin events during his sophomore campaign. He currently boasts a perfect 4.0 GPA while majoring in business management.
Wilson also took part in all 12 Skyhawk events during the 2025-26 season, carding a 74.0 stroke average. The rising junior from Bolivar, Tenn. is responsible for a 3.86 GPA as a finance major.
