Skyhawks Set To Host Bradley For Three-Game Series This Weekend

MARTIN, Tenn.- The University of Tennessee at Martin baseball team hosts Missouri Valley Conference foe Bradley for a three game-tilt to close out February and open March. Game 1 is set for Friday, Feb. 27 at 3 p.m. and Game 2 is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 28 at 3 p.m. The series finale will take place on Sunday, March 1 at 1 p.m.

UT Martin (3-5) currently ranks 10th in all of NCAA Division I baseball in stolen bases with 25 while placing top-30 in hits (30th, 91). The Skyhawks bring in a torrid offense that sits among the Ohio Valley Conference leaders in doubles (first, 19), scoring (second, 7.6 runs per game), batting average (second, .311), runs scored (second, 61), triples (second, three), home runs (third, seven) and slugging percentage (third, .468).

TJ Grines leads the country with 12 stolen bases while Garner Anderson is second in NCAA DI baseball in slugging percentage (1.294). Colten Payton has tallied 15 hits which is the 26th most in the country. JT Popick is second in the OVC in doubles (four) and TJ Dunsford has driven in 10 RBIs (eighth in the OVC).

Lefty Will Turner (fifth in the OVC in opposing batting average, .138) leads the bullpen with a 2.08 ERA and right-hander Maxwell Schumacher (second in the OVC in batters struck out looking, three) boasts a 3.27 ERA.

Bradley (1-6) is fourth in the MVC in on-base percentage (.379) and Hayden Miller leads the team in home runs (two). William Soignier is first on the team in ERA (1.23) and has fanned 11 batters (team-best) over 7.1 innings.
