
UT Martin Prepared For 2026 OVC Indoor Championships

MARTIN, Tenn.- The University of Tennessee at Martin track and field team concludes the indoor portion of its schedule at the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Championships from Feb. 24-25 in Louisville, Ky.

The championships will be held at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville. The venue opened in 2021, and this will mark the first time its held the OVC Indoor Championships. The facility includes a 200-meter banked Mondo indoor track, which is one of the fastest indoor tracks in the world. It's home to just one of nine hydraulically banked indoor tracks in the United States (one of 12 in the world) and the only banked indoor track in the state of Kentucky.

This year's event is the 46th overall men's indoor championship (the first was held in 1976) and the 40th overall women's indoor championship (the first was held in 1985).

Last season, the Skyhawk men finished seventh with a total of 28 points while the women's team compiled 35 points for a ninth-place finish.

Maggie Roy (second-place in the mile), the women's distance medley relay team (second-place, Roy, Reese Settle, Janay Chapman and Rita Eimer) and the men's distance medley relay team (second-place, Angus Monro, David Stukey, Samir Smith and Brady Millikin) were able to finish on the podium at last year's competition.

- Khalid White holds the tenth best time in the conference in the 200m (22.06, PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational). He also ranks third in the 400m with a time of 48.40 at the Vanderbilt Invitational.
- In the 800m, Monro (fifth, 1:51.81, Music City Challenge) and Stukey (ninth, 1:52.80, PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational) represent UT Martin in the top-10.
- Roy (800m) crossed the finish line at 2:12.84 at the Music City Challenge which was the fourth best time in the OVC.
- Stukey (first, 4:05.61, Music City Challenge) and Monro (second, 4:06.07, Music City Challenge) lead the conference respectively in the best mile times.
- Roy's time of 4:56.32 in the mile at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational is second-best in the OVC.
- The Skyhawks own three of the top-eight spots on the 3k leaderboard with Angus Monro (third, 8:12.64, PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational), Luke Johnson (fourth, 8:14.78, Vanderbilt Invitational) and David Stukey (seventh, 8:25.11, UAB Vulcan Invitational.
- Johnson ran the OVC's second-best time in the 5k at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational (14:18.72) while Will Douglas tallied the sixth-best OVC mark at the same meet (14:47.21).
- Isaac Boles sits atop the 60m hurdles rankings after a blazing time of 7.92 during the Music City Challenge.
- The 4x400m team of White, Boles, Tristen Bough and Tobias Tanui currently hold the fourth-best time in the OVC at 3:17.75 during the Music City Challenge.
- Andy Westbroks' leap of 1.93m at the Lenny Lyles Invitational has him at 10th on the conference leaderboard.
- Boles has broken the school record in the 60m hurdles three times, the most recently was with a time of 7.92.
- The pole vault record has fallen three times to Abbie Llyod who currently holds the school's best mark at 3.10m.
- Morgan Mitchell notched the school's best time in the 300m (42.26).
- White's time in the 400m of (48.40) established a new school record.
- Monro owns the best times in the 800m (1:51.81) and the 3k (8:12.64).
- Johnson earned the school record in the 5k with a time of 14:18.72.
- Stukey's time of 4:05.61 in the mile became the new school record.
- Bough tallied a PR and school record in the 600m off of a time of 1:21.90.
- The 4x400 team of Tanui, Bough, Boles and White brought home a school record time of 3:17.75.
